Welcome

“I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” – Oscar Wilde

I am a final year student at Brunel University studying Drama and English and have future ambitions to teach Drama at Secondary Schools within the London area.

My course at Brunel University has been insightful, as it has taught me that Drama and English are both interrelated subjects and I can use the skills learnt from both in my career as a teacher. I have been inspired by previous productions that I have performed in such as The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other directed by Andre Biziorek and through my experience gained by working within an Autistic school environment, as I helped to lead a series of drama workshops to primary school children.

The skills gained from previous drama work have improved my confidence as an actor and my English course has enhanced my creative skills as a writer. Therefore, I have recognised that the skills learnt in both subjects are crucial in enabling the development of young people and their future prospects. Until then, I take it upon myself to gain more experience in schools as well as excel in my degree to stabilise my occupation as a teacher.
